Jennifer A. Messal - E.A.
Jennifer A. Messal received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1999. In 2004, Ms. Messal received her Executive Master of Taxation from Florida Atlantic University.
Ms. Messal’s previous work experience includes several years with one of the world’s leading energy and commodity companies. She focused on federal and state tax compliance for both domestic and foreign entities. She also served as a member of the Strategic Operations Department, implementing a method for determining the unit cost of production.
Ms. Messal’s areas of interest include taxation of domestic and foreign individuals and corporations. In the individual area, her experience includes the taxation of U.S. citizens abroad, real estate developers, like-kind exchanges and alternative minimum tax on individuals with qualified stock options. In the corporate area, she has experience with tax-free reorganizations, tax accounting of long-term construction projects, as well as the branch profits tax. Additionally, Ms. Messal has extensive experience with the specific reporting requirements of S corporations and partnerships.
